LATEST PCI SLOT

GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms PCI Express to PCI-X Expansion Systems provide an easy-to-use migration path to PCI Express for legacy PCI-X and PCI cards. Designed for high throughput and enhanced system functionality, the expansion systems provide seven available 64-bit slots with PCI Express cable interfaces supporting 10Gb/s raw throughput in each direction.

Two versions of the expansion system are available. Both complete systems include a 4x PCI Express host card, a seven slot PCI-X/PCI chassis and a 5-meter cable. PCIE-PCIX-7S has a standard height host card. PCIE-PCIX-7S-LP has a low profile host card.

The PCI Express host card extends the PCI Express interface to an external cable connection. Brought over a cable to the expansion chassis, the PCI Express interface connects to the Intel 41210 PCI Express to PCI-X bridge. This bridge chip functions as the source for two independent PCI-X buses on the expansion backplane. One bus connects to two 100 MHz PCI-X slots. The other bus connects to one 133 MHz PCI-X slot and a PCI-X to PCI-X bridge that sources four 66 MHz PCI-X slots. Host cards and backplanes are available separately for applications requiring a different type of enclosure or for use as spares. The 19-inch, 5U rackmount chassis with backplane is also available separately. Our PCI Express Expansion Systems are ideal for multi-media and test applications that are invested in PCI-X/PCI and migrating to PCI Express.
